ALUMNI & FRIENDS JOCKEY CLUB

The alumni event season for 2024 closed out just before Christmas with the launch of the St. Peter’s Alumni and Friends Jockey Club at Alpino in Cambridge.

A gathering of alumni, parents, and friends of the St. Peter’s alumni gathered to begin (and renew) connections of people in and interested in the thoroughbred industry.

​

The main sponsor of the event was New Zealand Bloodstock, with support from Marsh Racing. Thanks to both.

Alumni chair David Wybourne welcomed guests before handing over to alumna Jessie Gower, Client and Public Relations Manager of New Zealand Bloodstock. A fun “heads or tails” quiz about racing and breeding in New Zealand followed with Amanda Kay taking honours as the last person standing with correct answers.

The Alumni Association was delighted that respected industry stalwart and alumnus Jim Otway (St. P 1951-55) accepted its invitation to be the new club’s patron.
